Yemen to immunise 4m children
|
Yemen has implemented a nationwide anti-polio campaign to immunise more than 4 million children under five years of age. The campaign, which is being conducted house to house, will be the last one as Yemen will be announced as a polio-free country by 2009, officials and organisers of the campaign said. The three-day campaign, which was funded and supported by the UNICEF and WHO, will be carried out by some 40,000 health workers, reported Gulf News.

Johns Hopkins to manage Abu Dhabi hospital
